CHARACTER DESIGN

Character Design means the design and creation of the characters. Creating a character is made according to certain criteria: the role to be performed, the personality that he will have and the physical characteristics which will "characterize" him.

It starts from a series of tests and sketches, also called "model-sheet" in which, with a few lines, one must be able to confer to the character maximum expressiveness. The knowledge of the anatomy and proportions of human and animals is crucial to create a character: it takes a perfect command of the latter to overturn them and still maintain the correct anatomy and movement properties.
